May 2023 - Congrats to Anh Pham who just graduated from Concordia College and will begin her graduate training in neuroscience at the University of Minnesota in Fall 2023. We will miss you, Anh! Congrats to Lily Cannella who will start her graduate training in school psychology at MSUM in Fall 2023. Congrats to Ben Swanson who will start his graduate training in clinical psychology at the University of Arkansas in Fall 2023. Also, welcome to Megan Olson who joined the lab for summer research!
October 2022 - Anh & Dwight volunteered to present the lab's interactive demonstration related to cognitive science to 7th graders from Fargo-Moorhead at the 5th annual BrainSTEM event. The goal of this community-based event is to show 7th graders that women and underrepresented groups are crucial to scientific progress and to encourage them to pursue careers in STEM fields. Excellent work, Anh!
June 2022 - Welcome to Nelson Weniger who joined the lab for summer research.
March 2022 - Congratulations to Kaiah Sotebeer who will begin her graduate training in the Cognitive Psychology Program at Iowa State University in Fall 2022!
January 2022 - Congratulations to Lily Cannella who graduated in December 2021 and is now a Psychometrist working with Neuropsychologists at Essentia Health in Fargo, ND. Way to go, Lily!
June 2021 - Congratulations to Ben Swanson on his new gig as Lab Coordinator for the Developmental Psychopathology Lab at the University of Iowa. We are proud of you and we miss you already, Ben! Also, welcome to Anh Pham who joined the lab! We're finally up and rolling and back in the lab this summer! Thank you vaccine science! November 2019 - Jake and Dwight presented their research on the role of lapses of attention in visual working memory binding at Psychonomics in Montréal. Nice job, Jake!
October 2019 - Zsofi & Dwight volunteered their Friday of Fall Break to present the lab's "Out of Sight, Out of Mind?" interactive demonstration related to cognitive science to 7th graders from Fargo-Moorhead at the 4th annual BrainSTEM event. The goal of this community-based event is to show 7th graders that women and other underrepresented groups are crucial to scientific progress and to encourage them to pursue careers in STEM fields. Turns out that 7th graders are super competitive about Multiple Object Tracking & Change Blindness tasks. Way to go, Zsofi!
June 2019 - Liliana Cannella and Benjamin Swanson are joining the lab this summer and learning to use behavioral and EEG/ERP techniques to explore visual working memory processes. Welcome aboard, Lily & Ben!
May 2019 - Dwight's collaborative research with Marian Berryhill's lab at UNR about the impact of chronic mild TBI on working memory processes is now in press at AP&P. Congrats to Hector Arciniega (doctoral candidate in Marian's lab and lead author on this project)!
